Program Description
Business valuation for litigation and compliance can make or break your plan or your case. You will leave this presentation able to assess the business valuation, the expert and the likelihood of them holding up when challenged.  

Breakfast will be provided to those in-person for the viewing session!

This event is both in-person at the FCA Offices in Houston, TX, and streamed virtually through zoom. Breakfast is provided for those joining in-person.

Learning Objectives
At the end of the presentation attendees will be able to: 

· Identify purpose, standard of value, and user to define requirements. These drive everything else. 

· Define key standards of value (fair market, fair value, investment value) and distinguish their legal applications. Get these wrong and your case fails.

· Differentiate between income, market, and asset valuation approaches and evaluate when each is most appropriate. How, when, and why you would select one over the other.

· Interpret valuation reports and assess the credibility. You got what you want (or didn't want), will it hold up?

· Apply valuation principles to special contexts, including estate and gift taxation, shareholder disputes, divorce, and damages
