AAA-CPA Southern California Chapter Meeting Tax Planning for Exit Transactions

Program Description This session will cover opportunities for planning to reduce taxes due from an exit transaction, including acquisitions by strategic buyers and private equity buyers. We will cover the importance of asset allocation and the potential conflict between the buyer and seller in agreeing on the form of the transaction. We will also cover the importance of engaging in tax planning prior to signing a letter of intent, and ideally in the years leading up to the exit transaction.
